Martin's Tire Company Inc. has been in the scrap tire recycling business for ten years. We incorporated the family owned sole proprietorship in June 1996. We have developed from a small, family operated business to a prosperous enterprise employing over 60 individuals at our two plant locations in Marion and Sturgis, Kentucky and satellite offices in Louisville and Somerset, Kentucky.
We currently operate two shredding plants and a new $1.5 million state-of-the-art plant for producing several products from recycled tires. These products include mulch for landscaping and groundcover for schoolyards, parks, playgrounds, and many other beneficial applications from recycled scrap tire material. Tire Derived Fuel (TDF), which is presently supplied to customers operating electrical power generation plants.
We are permitted and in good standings with the Kentucky EPA, having provided services for many of their amnesty cleanups. We also serve the states of Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri for their scrap tire needs. We collect and process over 3 million tires per year from these clients.
We can provide individual tire pickup or spot semi trailers for larger volumes of tires. We can retrieve full trailers and leave replacements as often as required, even on short notice as dictated by our clients. We have the experienced manpower and equipment to handle large cleanup projects. We move in boom trucks and grapples, tire cutters, portable shredding plants (where required), and all necessary equipment and tools required to rapidly and efficiently execute a cleanup of any size. We have the ability to dispose of the end product in ways that are environmentally secure.
We have proven over a long period of time that we can provide prompt, reliable and professional disposal of scrap tires at competitive costs to our clients.
